Learn about the effects of different nitrogen rates on corn and more!

6 Rates of Nitrogen applied in three replicates on a corn field at the Green County Farm. The rates are zero, 40, 80, 120, 160 and 200 units of nitrogen. This will be a chance for the public to see the corn plants at the various rates before it’s harvested. There’s a mini cover crop plot on site to look at various species and talk about the benefits or drawbacks of each. There will be water infiltration demonstrations to show how quickly an inch of water is absorbed into the soil- showing several management areas.
