Time, Beauty, and Grief: A Hike Through Wisconsin’s 50 State Parks with Betsy Korbinyr
Time, Beauty, and Grief: A Hike Through Wisconsin’s 50 State Parks with Betsy Korbinyr

Author and retired social worker Betsy Korbinyr will lead guests on the life review quest she undertook when she turned 65 — to hike at least five miles in every Wisconsin State Park in one year. With her central themes of hiking, reclaiming lost things, the fickle nature of time, and the liminality of growing old, she hopes to inspire guests to develop Life Review quests of their own. Whether it’s hiking Wisconsin’s Ice Age trail sections in our state parks or redefining ageist stereotypes, Betsy encourages exploration of nature and living life more fully and colorfully at any age!
The Friday evening talk is scheduled to help inspire contemplative weekend walks through Wisconsin’s fall beauty! The talk will be followed by a signing of Korbinyr’s new Little Creek Press Book, “Time, Beauty, and Grief: A Hike Through Wisconsin’s 50 State Parks”.
