Turtles of Wisconsin

Turtles of Wisconsin

Friday 10/18/24
6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Join Waukesha County Land Conservancy’s Land Management Director, Helen Holtz, to learn about turtles of Wisconsin and how we can best help them. In Wisconsin, we are lucky to have 11 species of turtles. However, due to habitat loss and other human impacts, turtle populations across the state are in decline.

During the event, you will have the chance to learn about the unique characteristics of each turtle species, their behavior, and their role in the ecosystem. You will also learn about the threats they face and how we can all play a role in protecting and conserving these amazing creatures.
